25 March 2024 - Zambia's total climate finance demand is predicted to be $50 billion by 2030, with the greatest part of this funding coming from new climate finance mechanisms like the Global Climate Fund and other climate-related bilateral, multilateral, and regional financing. This includes the private sector, which already provides climate money through corporate social responsibility, in addition to investment with revenues. The $53 million Green Outcomes Fund, launched recently by Zambia National Commercial Bank, Kukula Capital, and the World Wide Fund for Nature-Zambia, is an excellent example of private finance. Take our survey on Cost of Living and contribute to wage information in Zambia.

Paternity Leave Laws in Zambia

The Tripartite Consultative Labour Council (TCLC) has added the inclusion of Paternity Leave for working fathers in the Employment Act. This provision will allow for working fathers to take seven days of paternity leave to take care of their newly born babies or their pregnant partners.
