 Sexual harassment can come in various ways and forms. Sexual harassment in the place of work can include any unwelcome remarks, utterances or manoeuvres of a sexual nature. 

These may include:

  • Unwanted advances of a sexual nature
  • Unsolicited touching or fondling
  • Sexually suggestive conversations 
  • Favours and promises in exchange for sexual encounters 
  • Seductive staring 
  • Provocative body signs such as winking, whistling or tongue teasing  

Where to report

Do you feel you are a victim of such harassment within your workplace?  Then do not hesitate to lodge a formal complaint with the Office of the Labour Commissioner, your trade union or any institution mandated to handle such matters within your workplace, such as the Human Resources department.
